Let the balloons dance quietly

A simple ball game that combines coordination, fine motor skills and concentration with lots of fun.

This is how it works:

The players hold up a balloon by alternately tapping it with their left and right hand. The goal is to keep the balloon in the air without it touching the ground.

Learning objectives:

  • Improving hand-eye coordination
  • Training the feel for the ball and fine motor skills
  • Development of concentration and body control

Coaching-Keys:

  • Distance: Make sure there is enough court space between the players.
  • Body parts: After successfully practicing with the hands, add other body parts (knees, head, feet).
  • Volume: Encourage the players to “tap” the balloon as quietly as possible.
